The goal of this webinar is to empower parents and caregivers to be more effective advocates for their children and get better educational outcomes.     ADAPT Community Network is excited to announce our new Board of Directors leadership. We are thrilled to have longtime board members and supporters of the ADAPT community lending their expertise and leadership prowess to the ADAPT Board. ADAPT’s Board of Directors has appointed Kelly E. Kaminski as the new Board President, following the passing in August of longtime Board President Gary Geresi. James Kase will take on the role of ADAPT Board Vice Chair, with Jim Hausman serving as ADAPT Board Vice President & Secretary and Gideon Asher as ADAPT Board Vice President & Treasurer.     For this quarter’s Employee Spotlight, ADAPT Human Resources is highlighting Roberta Koenigsberg, our Chief Administrative Officer. Roberta began her work with ADAPT Community Network in 1984, then joined the organization full-time in 2015. Her legal and social justice-centered background helps her supervise ADAPT’s HR and Compliance departments and contribute to different projects and initiatives around ADAPT.     In September, ADAPT Community Network collaborated with Para Arts Foundation, Inc. on their second annual art exhibition showcasing works by people with disabilities. The Brooklyn exhibit, titled, “Disability Is No Barrier to Creativity and Achievement,” included a fashion show, an art competition, an auction, and live musical performances. Check out some of the artists’ incredible paintings below! Thank you to the talented artists, the organizers, and everyone who attended! Your support of artists with disabilities means the world to the individuals we support. We hope to see you again next year!
