Here it is. I started in this industry on April 21, 1996. It's been quite a journey, and I'm still here, working with algorithms. But AI? That's a game changer for all of us.
Back in 2010, I launched the Seattle Interactive Conference 2024 with some close friends (Gloria Connors, Rachel Willner, Jason Llorin, Cathy Mabee, michiko swiggs, Mark Peterson, Mike Scaturo, Zach Huntting) and peers. Next week, we're bringing the event back to The Conference Center in downtown Seattle, where it all began. It's clear that Covid has reshaped how we view networking and in-person events. My entire career in digital marketing has been built on the strength of my network. From the start, I understood the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting new people, and learning about various disciplines. This approach has helped me make valuable introductions, secure jobs and clients, and build lifelong relationships with people I enjoy being around.
Many of my friends, colleagues, and industry peers have supported and celebrated at Seattle Interactive. I know that many of you have found future jobs and connected with like-minded professionals through this event.
I would love to see you all again next week in person at SIC. If you've recently been laid off, are re-entering the workforce, or if your boss won't cover the conference pass, let me know. I'm here to help however I can.
Over the past 14 years, I've spent countless hours curating content, helping people gain the confidence to speak on stage, and ensuring our partners see the value in what we're building for the creative and marketing community in Seattle. See you next week?
Help me break through the Algorithm and tell me how we met and what year you think it was. Ty!
