Our work at The Addis Clinic can sometimes feel heavy and overwhelming, as we tackle significant global health issues with limited resources. That's why we have a special meeting once a month that we all look forward to: Good News Tuesday. During this meeting, each team member gets 5 minutes to share a positive story from their work life. We put aside root cause analysis, budgeting discussions, grant applications, and seemingly unsolvable problems to focus on what made us smile, filled our buckets, and where we saw the impact of our work. Good News Tuesday is my favorite Tuesday of the month because it reminds us why we do what we do and keeps our spirits high.
We are thrilled to celebrate our strong relationship with the Dovetail Impact Foundation and MIGHTY ALLY over the past two years. Their investment in Antony Kimathi's leadership and growth as our Kenyan NGO director has been invaluable. In this remote-first world, it’s rare to have the opportunity to sit face-to-face with our supporters and discuss our shared goals. Recently, Antony traveled from Meru County to meet with Joy Gikandi from Dovetail and Evan Wanjiru from Mighty Ally in Nairobi. The meeting was a wonderful exchange of ideas and experiences, focusing on growth strategies, funding challenges, and collaboration opportunities. We look forward to continuing our work together and building on this foundation of mutual support and shared vision!
