One of the things I love about my job is that I get to talk to the coolest people in the mortgage lending industry. Last week, I had lunch with Coby Hakalir and was amazed by his holistic understanding of the industry. We both shared a similar view on the value of using AI in loan origination and how it's already impacting the industry. We're seeing more widespread and faster adoption of AI because lenders can immediately see the ROI. Coby Hakalir is also a true contrarian thinker, so I highly recommend his recent column on AI predictions for 2025. During our chat, I told him that we're doing an AI mortgage hackathon, and he was kind enough to attend it in person this weekend! The mortgage lending industry is at a tipping point.
