Understanding the science behind ADHD can shed light on why certain behaviours and struggles arise 🧠 Here are 4 key areas of the brain impacted by ADHD: 1. The Pre Frontal Cortex 2. Limbic System 3. Basal Ganglia 4. Reticular Activating System (RAS) These neurological differences shape how you experience the world. Embracing this understanding fosters self-compassion and helps you find strategies tailored to your brain. Share this with someone you know who has ADHD so they can start to untangle their brain ✨ #adhd #adhdawareness #adhdscience #neurodiversity #neurodiverse #adhdneuroscience #neuroscience #adhdbrains  #adhdcoaching  #adhdcoach

WHY I MOVE… 🧠 According to science, even a single session of moving our bodies can make us more motivated for mental tasks, increase brainpower, and give us energy! Most importantly it gives us a good boost of dopamine, which people with ADHD can sometimes have less levels of. (Don’t get me started on the toxic ways I’ve tried to get a dopamine hit 😂 Drugs, alcohol, etc - You name it, I’ve done it) But now my daily drug is movement 🚴♀️ Whether it's yoga, pilates, cycling (you'll know the bike ride I did to Amsterdam) and getting my steps in, these are the ways I am getting my dopamine in. 🤸♀️As you can tell, movement is a huge part of my life! So it probably comes as no surprise as to why I created the ADHD Untangled Movement Academy! This is for the ADHD yoga teacher who is looking to embrace who they have always been and stop being the teacher they thought they had to be (you’re probably masking) 🧡Doors for my training close on Thursday so if you are a Yoga Teacher with ADHD ready to remove the mask!
