Deep Tech Brunch + Panel for LA TECH WEEK by @a16z hosted by Advaita Capital, ACME Capital, Calibrate Ventures, and Techstars Los Angeles Accelerator! We had 200 founders, investors, and partners come together to celebrate and support Deep Tech in LA, and listen to our great panel of deep tech startups across semiconductors, manufacturing, and robotics. Special thanks to David Bennett at Tenstorrent Brual Shah at GrayMatter Robotics, and Lukas Czinger at Divergent for sharing their insights on navigating the startup space as a deep tech company, and a special thanks to Scott Stanford from ACME for his State of the VC address.

Thankful to PEI for the invitation to speak at their prestigious Responsible Investment Forum: West alongside institutional investors, pension funds, and LPs/GPs leading the path in responsible investing. I was able to speak on trends, difficulties, and nascent technologies within Climate Adaptation alongside my great fellow panelists Katherine Short, CFA from OMERS, Daniel Matross from CREO, and Nitesh Dullabh from 2POD Ventures. At Advaita, we combine our deep tech thesis with an overarching goal towards sustainability, and I am thankful to have been able to share our approach while also learning from those paving the way in sustainability and responsible investing.

Advaita Capital is looking for a Junior VP of Finance. The role will act as a liaison between our fund operations, compliance, tax teams and work closely with higher management and Partners in the fund. Will be responsible for managing 6+ funds. This role can grow into a CFO position and Partner track role. This is not an independent role and not an investment role. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Growth Equity Fund Operation Experience 2. Understanding of Fund Taxes 3. NAV Calculations 4. Venture experience, including understanding of valuations, cap table structure, etc. 5. Strong accounting background 6. Higher Degree and STEM background valued 7. Entrepreneurial with strong time management skill 8. Have strong understanding and experience of US fund financial regulation. 9. I spoke in Boston at Liberty Hotel at the Private Equity Summit Carmo Companies on the art of co-investment, which is one of our biggest strategies with our large institutional LPs, the pros and cons of it, and different push and pull that comes out of such relationships. Great atmosphere to get to know many institutional LPs and fellow asset management peers.
