Big news! Husk Power is expanding to the DRC with support from Acumen’s Hardest-to-Reach initiative. This funding from Acumen will help scale solar minigrids in one of the world’s most energy-starved countries.
We’re thrilled to announce a major step forward in our mission to bring clean, affordable energy to underserved communities. With a $500,000 grant from Acumen’s Hardest-to-Reach (H2R) initiative, Husk Power is entering the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) – a country where 90% of the population still lacks access to electricity. This funding will catalyze our efforts to establish a strong presence, build our first solar minigrids, and pave the way for accelerated energy access in the region. It’s also a key milestone in our Africa Sunshot initiative, which aims to deploy 2,500 solar minigrids across Sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. 🔗 Discover how this partnership is enabling us to scale impact in the DRC and drive energy transformation: https://shorturl.at/D6hDH Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer une avancée majeure dans notre mission visant à fournir une énergie propre et abordable aux communautés mal desservies.
