We are proud to announce the latest installment of the “Advancing Our Roads” gift card program in partnership with St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD). Officers of SLMPD’s District Three will be distributing $25 Advance gift cards to motorists facing equipment issues to encourage the safe and timely repair of their vehicles. Beginning in 2022, the Advance Auto Parts Foundation Future Technicians Scholarship has been awarded annually to five students enrolled in Wake Technical Community College's automotive degree program. One of the first recipients, Alexander Kirschenbauer, credits the scholarship for his decision to pursue a career in the automotive industry as it helped cover educational expenses and provided funds to purchase necessary tools and equipment. Alexander recently graduated from the Automotive Systems Technology program at Wake Tech and has begun a full-time role as a technician at a nearby dealership. We are incredibly proud of Alexander and all past and present scholarship recipients for their hard work and dedication to the automotive industry. Our store teams continue to collaborate with law enforcement across the country to expand the “Advancing Our Roads” gift card program. In June, our Roanoke, Va., store team announced a gift card donation to Sheriff Antonio Hash and Roanoke City Sheriff's Office.
