Advancing the civil and human rights for Asian Americans, building and promoting a fair and equitable society for all.
About us
Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC is a national organization working to empower Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) to participate in our democracy and fight for civil and human rights. Through public education, community organizing, litigation and policy development, we advocate for an America in which all Americans are able to equally benefit from, and contribute to, the American dream. With our Advancing Justice affiliates in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Atlanta, we have enacted a sweeping range of programs on critical national issues that enrich, enhance and serve our communities all across the country. We are one of the nation's leading experts on issues of importance to the Asian American community including: affirmative action, anti-Asian violence prevention/race relations, census, immigrants' rights, immigration, language access, television diversity and voting rights. Our expertise is widely acknowledged: in the media, by the public and lawmakers at the very highest tiers of government.

Advancing Justice | AAJC and APIA Vote run the 1-888-API-VOTE hotline, where voters can get assistance and have questions answered about voting and the elections. In the days closer leading up to Election Day, we are asking volunteers to respond to live election questions in-language over the phone from Oct. 7 to Nov. 5, 2024. We are in need of bilingual volunteers in Bangla/Bengali, Cantonese and Mandarin, English, Hindi, Korean, Punjabi, Tagalog, Urdu, and Vietnamese! No knowledge or experience in elections or voting is required. We will provide each volunteer with the necessary training. Note: Legal professionals needing to complete pro-bono hours can log hours volunteered for our API Voter Hotline program You can sign up for an upcoming 1 hour training at bit.ly/hotlinetrain https://lnkd.in/eTEiZeBt
