We're sending a HUGE shoutout to all our field personnel — both here at home and those helping to restore a sense of normalcy in communities hit by Hurricanes #Helene and #Milton. To our lineworkers returning from North Carolina: Thank you for all you've done for the people of Asheville. To those who continue to support Duke Energy Corporation restoration efforts and our fresh crews heading that way today: You make us proud! To those in Florida with Tampa Electric: The hard work begins. Remember to work safe. The job isn't done until you're back home safely. And to our crews keeping the lights on here at home: Thank you for always putting our customers and safety first. #SafetySaturday We appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️

We’re on our way, Florida! ❤️ More than 90 field personnel from across our service territory got on the road before dawn to help Tampa Electric restore power following #HurricaneMilton. As the heartbreaking images and stories continue to come out of western North Carolina, we are so proud of our 120 field personnel who have been located in Asheville since before #HurricaneHelene tore through the area. Originally staged there in anticipation of being moved into other areas after the weather hit, they found themselves unexpectedly at ground zero. Our crews then did what they do best as soon as it was safe to do so. They got to work. And they've been working 16-hour days for almost 2 weeks, replacing poles and restringing power lines as they help residents begin the daunting task of rebuilding their lives and towns. We are always proud of our men and women. They go without hesitation where they are needed. The impact of this historic flooding has tugged at their heart strings even more than usual. Our thoughts and prayers continue for all of the families who have lost so much. And to our crews and their families, we love you and appreciate all you do. Keep working safe.

The job wasn't truly done until everyone was home safe — thank you to the 1,400 field personnel who worked around the clock to get our customers' lights back on following severe weather from #HurricaneHelene. And most importantly, they did it safely. Well done. #SafetyFirst #SafetySaturday

A well-deserved shoutout to Tami Solinger! By day, she works with customers to solve issues. But when storms hit, she switches gears to help customers in another way: by making sure our crews – wherever they are – have food in their bellies and a place to lay their heads after 16-hour shifts restoring power. It can be challenging to quickly find and secure meals and lodging for dozens or even hundreds of employees, especially in areas with extensive damage. She also helps coordinate supplies, making sure our crews have what they need to get the job done. No matter the challenge, Tami does what it takes so our employees can get your power flowing again. Thanks for all your hard work Tami!

100% of customers who experienced a power outage Friday from the aftermath of #HurricaneHelene have had their power restored. Trees that were damaged in the storm or loosened by saturated soil are continuing to fall and have caused additional outages. Be assured our crews continue to work safely and as quickly as possible to restore power. To all of our customers, our team extends a heartfelt thank you for the kindness and patience shown during this restoration effort. And to all employees who worked tirelessly to repair damage and restore power, thank you for your hard work and your families for holding down the fort while you’ve been gone.

We’re almost there but not done yet. 99% of the 83,000 customers out at the height of the storm have power again. Our field personnel are on track to meet estimated restoration times for all areas today. We know the last 4 days have been difficult for you. We’re grateful for the patience, kindness and meals you have shared with our field personnel. And crews: please remember that the job isn't done until you come home safely. ❤️

Before the sun is up our crews are getting ready to make their way south to help Duke Energy Corporation ahead of #HurricaneHelene. 120 field personnel are headed to North Carolina to stage until the storm moves through and we head where we’ll be needed. Safe travels! And we’re keeping those in the path of this potentially historic storm in our thoughts. Stay safe!
