About us
Afendras Archaeology was established to serve the federal, state, tribal, and private entities that are developing the future of the southern Great Plains. Since 2015, we have successfully completed hundreds of cultural resource management surveys and testing projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, and Kentucky for agency review and due diligence. Our key personnel average 10 years as professional archaeologists with experience across the United States and academic pursuits that have taken us to Belize, Cyprus, Israel, and Italy. Our principal investigators exceed the professional qualification standards for the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines, §36CFR61, and maintain their membership with the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Afendras Archaeology specializes in Phase I cultural resource management (CRM) surveys, preliminary archival reviews, and intensive background research for Section 106 compliance and due diligence planning efforts. Additionally, we have completed Phase II testing operations, a National Register of Historic Places evaluation, and construction monitoring on behalf of a tribal consortium.
