Supporting journalists to tell the stories that matter with the data they need.
About us
The Africa Data Hub (ADH) is a collective of data organisations operating across three African countries that work together to provide local journalists with verified accurate up-to-date data, tools, training, mentoring and support to tell the stories that matter with the data they need. We believe that access to quality data not only has the potential to challenge power and the status quo, but also to have a direct impact in addressing vulnerability, inequity and exclusion.

🌿 Data skills can add richness and insight to highly localised, and impactful, community reporting. With the support of our data desk, our partners at Inhlase News have generated this insightful data-driven story on Eswatini's struggles with wildfires as a consequence of climate change. One challenge in climate justice is that many of the voices of those most negatively impacted by climate change have the least accessibility to the stages which allow them to share their experience. Advancing local news is a vital step toward providing both voice - and new insight - into the communities most effective. Additionally, as you can see in this piece, it can also empower those impacted through data-driven and science supported strategies to help combat these negative effects simultaneously. Read more in this vital article here: https://lnkd.in/dBKked-p We were able to provide this assistance thanks to the support of the Africa Data Hub. #climatechange #datajournalism #impactstories
