“Before her sickness, our mom, Heather Lewis was a nurse. She had been a nurse in many different fields. She was once an employee at Agape Hospice Care. To watch life take a full circle, and see the team care for her just as she cared for others was evidence of God’s plan. Although mom was only on hospice for a week before her passing, we couldn’t thank the care team enough. We were only 27, 24, & 21. Thank you Agape. We love you, mom.” - Haley, Cole, and Josh, Heather’s children The end-of-life journey looks different for every person and every family. We’re honored to have the privilege of supporting patients, like Heather, and their families through the end-of-life journey and beyond.

Our chaplains are an integral part of our grief support team. Their work helps patients and families alike access spiritual support that's tailored to their beliefs. The end-of-life journey can bring up a lot of spiritual stressors and questions, that's why our team takes the time to provide meaningful experiences and support to our patients, no matter their beliefs. Thank you, chaplains!

Who Is Hospice For? Myth: Hospice care is only for patients with a cancer diagnosis. Fact: Hospice is for anyone diagnosed with an end-stage disease or life-limiting illness. Cancer is certainly included, but so are heart, kidney and lung diseases, as well as Parkinson's and dementia.
