Recently AGC Florida East Coast Chapter 2024 Board President Rex B. Kirby, PE Verdex Construction, AGC FEC Senior V.P. Chris Long Kaufman Lynn Construction and AGC FEC CEO Michelle DePotter travelled to D.C. for Associated General Contractors of America National Chapter Leadership Conference. They met with Senator Rick Scott to discuss important industry issues including OSHA Heat Standard, Construction Related Taxes, Immigration Reform, and Workforce Development. Thank you Senator Rick Scott (and Clayton) for your gracious time and engagement. Congressman Mast had a floor vote; however, they were thrilled to meet with Ross Dietrich on the same key issues and learn about his family AGC affiliation back in S.D. A highlight of the conference was having Speaker Mike Johnson address the conference and meeting him. They also heard from an array of other superb speakers, attended excellent industry and association management relevant breakout sessions and had dinner at the Washington National Cathedral.
