R. Andres Ferreyra of Syngenta is one of AgGateway's most valued volunteer members, putting in many hours not only working on difficult connectivity challenges through our working group process, but also championing the adoption of completed systems and standards at conferences around the world. Today, he spoke to a group at the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA) annual conference in Manhattan about the PAIL irrigation standard, an important advancement for everyone involved in measuring and monitoring water usage.

Our associate members include leading industry trade associations, international standards groups, state/regional agencies, and members of academia focused on data exchange issues. Our three current regions are North America, Europe and Latin America, with growing interest in Asia and Oceania.

AgGateway leadership’s weeklong Europe excursion is winding down. Today, Brent Kemp and Jim Wilson (at right) are visiting with Leon Ham, Product Manager, Data at Lely, to talk about data challenges and opportunities in the dairy industry. Globally, interest in improving data interoperability all along the value chain in dairy -- and animal agriculture overall -- is growing, and AgGateway looks forward to collaborating on and contributing to solutions.
