Physician burnout is a major issue for our healthcare systems. David Norris and the Affineon Health team are leveraging AI to combat this. Healthcare providers are drowning in administrative tasks. Affineon Health is alleviating the burden, giving providers several hours a week to spend with their patients instead of their inboxes.

AI for good in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene: Don Mathis and the Skyfire | AI team have been flying their drones on EMS missions, helping CVS deliver medication to critically ill patients across storm ravaged areas of North Carolina. With roads, bridges, and even whole communities wiped off the map by the floodwaters, their drones are able to provide aerial support for areas that are otherwise inaccessible. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the devastating storm and we are heartened to see the Skyfire | AI team actively saving lives.

Welcome aboard Allison Knight! Allison joins the AI Fund ecosystem as a Founder in Residence, where she will be building a project using AI to create on-demand experts for field service workers. A physicist by training, she founded and led Rebellion Photonics for 10 years as CEO. A revolutionary climate tech company, Rebellion Photonics used machine learning and computer vision to identify gas leaks on oil rigs and refineries before explosions happened. Honeywell acquired Rebellion in 2019. Allison holds an MBA from Rice University and an MS in Nanotechnology from the University of Leeds. Glad to have you in the ecosystem Allison!

Welcome to Mark Drummond & Roger Weber 🔜 Gamescom! They join AI Fund’s ecosystem as Founders in Residence where they will be developing a project around AI for personalized short form augmented reality (AR) content. A serial entrepreneur and tech leader, Mark is a 4x founder and has led 6 companies to successful acquisitions. His career arc also includes stints at NASA developing tech for Mars rovers, assembling the Siri team, leading AI at DreamWorks Animation, and leading the development of AI-driven characters for the Apple Vision Pro headset. He holds a PhD in AI from the University of Edinburgh. A coder since the age of 10, Roger founded Ranked Gaming a gaming client platform with millions of users globally. He also led AI at gaming company Paradox International. He holds a degree in computer science from the University of Edinburgh. Glad to have you both on the team!
