A historical moment: Yesterday (25 July 2024), Distinguished Prof. Chennupati Jagadish, AC, the president of the The Australian Academy of Science received a "Doctor of Science (honoris causa)" Degree from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), for his contribution to global education, policy making, science development and mentoring young researchers. Prof. Jagadish closely collaborates with Advanced Optics and Photonics Lab #AOPLab at NTU. More details and photos are coming soon. The Australian National University, ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems (TMOS).

Congratulations to Applied Physics Reviews Editor-in-Chief, Chennupati Jagadish, on receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of Surrey!
Last week, we had the great honour to host the President of The Australian Academy of Science -Professor Chennupati Jagadish, AC on campus of University of Surrey where he launched our 1.25MV Implanter -a powerful addition to the National Ion Beam Centre at Advanced Technology Institute (ATI). I was delighted to officiate the graduation ceremony where he was conferred the Doctorate of the University honoris causa by our Chancellor -HRH Duke of Kent, in recognition of his achievements in nanotechnology which make him one of the most eminent materials scientists of our time.
