What a month! With grant funding from the US Embassy in Islamabad, AIPS hosted 21 scholars from Pakistan at UW-Madison, and it was a highlight of my career thus far. Faculty from universities in Islamabad, Bagh, Gilgit, Jamshoro, Swabi, and Multan joined us to learn more about a) Higher Education Leadership and b) American Studies. We had a stellar group of speakers lined up for these two programs, and it was wonderful to hear from our colleagues across campus. Here are just a few highlights of these summer institutes: A welcome address by Dean Fran Vavrus The First Nations Cultural Landscape Tour Visiting the UW-Law School Touring the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection Chai and samosas with SASLI students and instructors Dinner at the Old Fashioned Playing basketball, soccer, and cricket  Touring the UW Arboretum, Monona Terrace, State Capitol, and the Chazen Museum & SO MANY interesting sessions with faculty and administrators at UW and across the US To our new friends in Pakistan, we will miss you all dearly and hope to see you again soon.

For two weeks this summer, the STEMSisters, 27 Pakistani collegiate women, experienced UD’s campus as Blue Hens. They explored Delaware’s Winterthur and Bowers Beach, visited the United Nations in NYC, and spent their final week in Washington, D.C. The program, co-hosted by UD's College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment and the American Institute of Pakistan Studies, aims to inspire women in STEM while focusing on climate change and sustainability. Supported by the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, this initiative highlights UD's commitment to global education and empowerment. Click the link to learn more! 📰:https://ow.ly/oGTe50SKTaO
