Installation of an Oxygen plant is not a one day work.✅while it is more involving because of its sophistry, its complexity is also quiet reviving. Do you enjoy tough staff? In 2023 we did just that; Installed an Oxygen plant. The beauty of Complex Systems is that they help you to become more organized and focused in addition to making you develop attention to details. The PSA system is one of the Unique systems amongst the big Healthcare Technologies. their complexities & sophistries are more in the making than in principles.This PSA system was by the AirSep Corporation , A company renown for it's #machinery_manufacturing. Oxygen plants are called #PSA systems because they use #Pressure #Swing #Adsorption. mechanism to generate Oxygen. here is is how the process goes💯✍️ Ambient air is drawn into the system using an #air_compressor, which compresses the air to the required pressure for the PSA( Pressure Swing Adsorption) process. This compressed air then passes through and air dryer (#refrigerant_dryer) to remove moisture. This refrigerant dryer eliminate any water vapor in the compressed air by cooling it rapidly, and then the water vapor in the air condenses into pure water which is collected in a #water_trap. Refrigerant dryers achieve this by cooling the compressed air to a Pressure Dew Point(#PDP), a temperature at which moisture will/is condensed out, leaving the air dry. The dry air is reheated to a room temperature and allowed to pass through an Oil-coalescing filter which removes oil aerosol and wet dust which may have come from the lubrication of the compressor element. 👉This Dry compressed air is then stored in an air receiver tank(storage tank) to provide a constant supply to the PSA unit. Pressure Swing Adsorption process✍️🌟 Air from from the storage tank enter the PSA unit. This consists of 2 tanks, containing zeolite which is an adsorbent that selectively adsorb nitrogen when pressurized allowing oxygen to pass through. One tank works at a time🤗, This is coordinated by the #control_system which automates and control the opening and closing of #solenoid_valves hence managing the switching (#Swinging) between #Adsorption and desorption. let me elaborate: Dry air enters the first tank, nitrogen is adsorbed by the zeolite allowing oxygen to pass through. whilst the first tanks is in Adsorption mode, the second tank is regenerated by venting/removing adsorbed nitrogen to the atmosphere, This process alternates between the two, ensuring continuous supply of Oxygen. The Oxygen produced by #PSA_unit is collected into a oxygen receiver thank from whence it passes through various filters, sensors, and oxygen analyzer, before finally being boosted by the compressor pump(Oxygen Booster). This compressor serves a purpose of increasing the pressure of Oxygen to meet various requirements of terminal user (e.g. filling the cylinders or Hospital pipeline system). #Oxygen_plant, #install World Health Organization, #Ask_A_Biomed
