The Global Fund is a worldwide movement to defeat HIV, TB and malaria and ensure a healthier, safer, more equitable future for all. The Global Fund raises and invests US$5 billion a year to fight the deadliest infectious diseases, challenge the injustice which fuels them and strengthen health systems in more than 100 of the hardest hit countries.

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, digital surveillance is transforming how deadly disease outbreaks - like cholera, mpox and malaria - along with endemic diseases like HIV and tuberculosis - are tracked and contained. With support from The Global Fund partnership, nearly half of the country’s health districts now share disease data digitally - enabling early detection, faster responses and more lives saved. Current plans are to digitize the entire country in the next 6 years. The Early Alert Room is the epicenter of the country’s disease surveillance system. Here, experts receive real-time data from across the country on 21 infectious diseases. Over 250 health districts now share data digitally, enabling faster responses and better protection against disease. Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind in the fight against infectious diseases.
