The interactive sessions set the stage for two days filled with collaboration and shared learning. Toni Manzano demystified #AI. Exploring the cocktail known as the AI Model, including data and algorithms, provided attendees with a fresh and thought-provoking outlook on how AI is changing the world and the regulatory landscape within the #pharmaceutical field. Joeri Van Wijngaarden demonstrated a practical approach to integrating AI into #manufacturing operations, showcasing how it can be effectively implemented and the significant impact it can have with real-life #business cases on managing AI throughout its lifecycle to generate genuine #value, essentially embodying his quote, "The Right Drug Supported by AI". Yudan Lin’s impactful talk resonated deeply with the audience, reminding us all to embrace our unique professional journeys and address the shortcomings in #diversity, #equity, and #inclusion in the industry and drug development for patients. Her insights on breaking barriers and forging our own paths were inspiring, encouraging participants to champion diversity and innovation in their careers. Magdalena Sztandarska, Luiza Mukaeda and Aina Manzano led an engaging, hands-on workshop that left participants with practical takeaways and a deeper understanding of AI's complexities when it comes to the #industry. Andreas Schumacher presented the avalanche that is AI as a #megatrend and its #evolution through the Industrial Revolution. The problems it faces and the missing pieces yet to be completed. As well as the specific technical tasks it's already being implemented into and how the need for a human to operate is essential.
