Earlier this week, we celebrated the official announcement of the University of Florida Student Healthcare Center, now the first higher education building in the US to earn WELL Platinum certification! WELL Platinum marks the highest ranking offered through the globally-recognized healthy building program.     Akin Brooks Engineering is thrilled to share some exciting news! We are proud to announce that Memorial Healthcare Systems has selected our firm to provide LEED Fundamental and Enhanced commissioning services for the forthcoming Memorial Regional Hospital Surgery and Critical Care Tower, situated in the vibrant city of Hollywood, FL. This groundbreaking project includes the construction of an 8-story tower, which will not only expand the current facility but also feature a striking new entrance lobby, state-of-the-art surgery department, and additional patient rooms. Additionally, the project will also include a three-story rebuild that will house essential patient care, clinical, and support spaces, along with a cutting-edge central energy plant. The entire Akin Brooks team is eagerly anticipating the challenges and opportunities this project will bring. We are fully committed to delivering excellence as we embark on this remarkable journey with Memorial Healthcare Systems.

    Akin Brooks Engineering is Hiring! At Akin Brooks Engineering, our core mission is to provide exceptional engineering services with an emphasis on experience, quality, and responsiveness.    We are growing and need to expand our talented team of professionals. We are currently looking to fill 3 positions:   Electrical Engineer Requirements: 7+ years designing electrical (power, lighting, fire alarm) systems, PE License, Revit, experience in Higher Ed, Healthcare & Institutional markets.   Electrical Engineer Requirements: 3+ years designing electrical (power, lighting, fire alarm) systems, Revit, experience in Higher Ed, Healthcare & Institutional markets.   Mechanical Engineer Requirements: 5+ years designing mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) systems, PE License, Revit, experience in Higher Ed, Healthcare & Institutional markets. Commissioning experience is a plus.   All positions are remote/virtual presence (work from home) positions and require occasional travel to jobsites and client meetings throughout Florida.
