WE ARE HIRING Veterinary Technician Salary: $39,686.40 Annually Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of shelter medicine or veterinary clinic experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicants within six months of meeting the education/experience requirement may be considered for trainee status. As a condition of employment incumbents must meet all Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) requirements/ prerequisites to handle controlled substances and successfully pass the Euthanasia Technician Certification Course through the Florida Animal Control Association (FACA) within six (6) months of date of hire. Successful completion of a state certified Veterinary Technician program may substitute for the required experience. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen & physical examination and successful completion of all applicable background checks pre-hire and ongoing are required.
