Last week, AlaTrade representatives attended the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association's 2024 Annual Meeting. With fantastic views from the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa, our team was honored to support the dedicated men and women of the APEA who serve the companies and individuals of the Alabama poultry industry! We are also thrilled to announce that after a few years of dedicated service on the APEA board, AlaTrade's very own Vice President of Operations, Kevin Parnell, has been voted onto the Executive Board for a 7-year term. Congratulations, Kevin!

Starting out in June 1999 loading cones, Christy has put in years of hard work towards her current role, where she excels in production planning, daily inventories, and coordinating receiving and shipping. Christy is passionate about her faith and family, cherishing time with her husband, 3 children, and grandchild. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, boating, and volunteering with Blessings in a Backpack with her church, a cause that is close to her heart. We’re proud to have Christy as part of our AlaTrade family. Here’s to many more years of success and growth!

We are hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our PHENIX CITY plant. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance, including the installation, repair, and upkeep of all equipment necessary for the facility's successful operation. Your goal will be to ensure our facilities are well maintained and fully support the company’s business operations. You will ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by the maintenance team, develop and implement maintenance procedures, inspect equipment to ensure normal operations, plan and oversee all repair and installation activities on your shift, and supervise the plant's maintenance staff. Earlier this month, AlaTrade had the pleasure of preparing lunch for Camp Hope at Shepherd's Cove, a one-day grief support camp for families in our community. We were honored to contribute and support this meaningful event!

This month, our Purchasing Inventory Manager, Lynn Vaughn, celebrates 25 years with AlaTrade!  This huge milestone has come from decades of hard work, advancing higher and higher in the comany over the last 25 years, and wearing many different hats including Shift Manager and QA Supervisor before her current role with us. As Purchasing Inventory Manager, Lynn is responsible for all of the packaging and employee supplies for both the Boaz and Albertville AlaTrade plants. Having held positions in many different areas of the company, Lynn remarks that she would "do it all over again." Vaughn is married, has 4 children, and 5 grandkids. When asked what she's passionate about, Lynn says it's "people and my family most of all," and she enjoys spending time with her loved ones. AlaTrade is delighted to celebrate this milestone alongside Lynn. Thank you for the 25 years of dedication you have given us!
