Shout out to Shaan Arora and Cory Gill—those guys are killing it. 2. Sendlane: - For email automations and campaigns, we trust Jimmy Kim and his team for their outstanding service. If you’re not already using them, we highly recommend it. 3. Google Postmaster: - To monitor domain health and ensure your emails reach the inbox, Google Postmaster is an essential tool. *There are plenty of great choices for SMS, but Sendlane handles most of our SMS as well.     Alia is my new favorite DTC tool to implement for my clients. Here's why... If you don't know what it is, Alia is a "pop-up" that requires users to learn more about the brand before receiving their discount. And we put a question at the end that asks "which of our sustainability pillars is most interesting to you?" I know what this client's "hero" value proposition is... But I wanted to create some new hooks and didn't know what messaging to test out next. Taking a look at the survey data, I was able to see exactly which value propositions were most popular with our audience. Instead of spending 2-3 weeks testing all of them. I knew exactly which one to go with from the start. 🙂 Tools like this allow brands to implement high-performing creative with less in-platform testing. Saving thousands of dollars... While greatly improving conversion rates. 💪 --- P.S. I don't get anything for recommending this tool. Simply sharing something that works for me, and hope it works for you too. The bigger point here is that survey-data can be a game changer. Especially for brands with limited budgets who can't afford to spend that much on testing new things.

    What can we learn from the Shopify president on how to optimise a Shopify store for conversions? Firebelly Tea is the brand owned by David Segal and Harley Finkelstein. And they have made storytelling and education a key part of their conversion funnel. Using a chat pop up, they’re able to educate customers on the brand story, sustainability mission and product benefits, as well as collecting some valuable consumer data along the way. This is made possible with the genius Alia app from Shaan Arora and Cory Gill 👏🏻 I believe more companies should take a leaf out of Firebelly Tea’s playbook and take the initiative to properly educate their customers. This leads to higher conversion rates and increased retention rates.

    Digital Marketing to Help Small Businesses Scale

    Felt pretty unproductive yesterday. Took me the best part of the day to make a pop-up for a Shopify store. Even though I was happy with it, I felt like I should have achieved more. Logged in this morning to see conversion rate doubled and immediate increase in new customer conversions. Shows that sometimes, making something good takes time. If a rushed pop-up converts 2%, whilst a carefully constructed one converts 3%, that would almost be £400k revenue different in a year for this client 🤯 I'd often rush something like that as I've got plenty of other things to do, but I'm glad I took the time on this one.     Super excited to share that I am now an Advisor to Alia, the customer education popup for Shopify! When Shaan Arora first reached out to me to jump on a call, something about his hunger and scrappiness reminded me of my younger self and I was immediately rooting for his success. A few months later, I ran into Shaan at an ecom event in New York. Then, I saw him at an event in Las Vegas. And soon enough, I started seeing him at quite literally every single ecom & retail conference I would travel to, regardless of the city it was in. Shaan was always there. The more I ran into Shaan at these events, the more I realized how much I believed in him as a founder. He was always working the room, and everyone he spoke to seemed to love his energy. On top of that, I started to learn more about his product, Alia. Some apps have difficulty proving ROI and value to brands. Alia is not one of those apps. The results I have seen this simple yet powerful tool deliver to all types of ecom brands really pushed me over the edge. I was beyond sold on both the product and the founders, and told Shaan I would love to help in any way I can. Fast forward a few months and here we are! Im super excited to be helping Shaan and his team turn their vision into a reality.
