When we focus on facts—what we can see, hear, smell, touch, and taste—we can separate out interpretations and judgments. This helps reduce the intensity of negative emotions and allows us to see if a problem truly needs to be solved. 🌿✨ #DBTFacts #Mindfulness #MentalHealthAwareness #GroundingTechniques #SelfCare #SeeHearSmellTouchTaste #ReduceNegativeEmotions #ProblemSolving #TherapyTools #DBTSkills #StayPresent #AlignEDCare #eatingdisorderrecovery

Creating a gratitude list can be a powerful tool to shift our mood and perspective. This practice aligns with DBT Emotion Regulation skills, specifically Accumulating Positive Emotions. By intentionally focusing on the positive aspects of our lives, we build a reserve of positive experiences and emotions. This doesn’t mean we ignore what hurts us; instead, we balance our attention to acknowledge both the good and the difficult. Accumulating Positive Emotions helps us create a buffer against stress and enhances our emotional resilience. Start with just a few things you're grateful for each day and notice how it transforms your mindset. What are you grateful for today? 💛 #Gratitude #MentalHealth #DBT #EmotionRegulation #Wellbeing #Mindfulness #PositiveThinking #SelfCare #EmotionalHealth #MentalWellness #EatingDisorderRecvoery #AddictionRecovery #TraumaRecovery #AlignEDCare

The Stonewall Riots were a series of spontaneous demonstrations by members of the LGBTQ+ community against a police raid that began in the early hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn in New York City's Greenwich Village. These riots are widely considered a pivotal event in the LGBTQ+ rights movement, marking the beginning of a more public and organized fight for equality and rights. Pride Month is celebrated every June to honor the Stonewall Riots and to recognize the impact LGBTQ+ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. It is a time to celebrate diversity, raise awareness about ongoing issues facing the LGBTQ+ community, and continue the fight for equal rights and acceptance. #PrideMonth #StonewallRiots #LGBTQHistory #EqualityForAll #LoveIsLove #LGBTQRights #DiversityAndInclusion #Pride2024 #CelebrateDiversity #InclusionMatters #LGBTQCommunity #PrideAndProgress #StandWithPride #InclusiveWorkplace #HumanRights #PrideAwareness #PrideCelebration #PrideInDiversity #LGBTQVoices #Empowerment #Intersectionality
