As more and more industry organizations pursue and adopt new solutions to differentiate their offerings there is a clear need for a viable technology platform to support and expand the industry’s current functional and operational capabilities

  • We are honored to be working on a project in Morton, Texas 🇺🇸✨ Let’s take a closer look at the history of Morton Memorial Cemetery—our newest client! 🕊️ Early in the 1920s, a moving family buried their infant on a peaceful slope outside what would eventually become Morton. This touching story marks the beginning of this cemetery. 🤍🌾 Numerous handmade, weathered markers stand in the cemetery, commemorating those who passed young due to illnesses that had no known cure at the time. 🪦💔 Now, we’re working to digitize Morton Memorial Cemetery’s records 📜💻 as part of our dedication to preserving these stories for future generations. Through modern technology, we’re helping this historic place endure. 🌐📖 We’re proud to contribute to preserving such a meaningful piece of Texas history, and this project is close to our hearts. ❤️ AFS_ClientSpotlight

  • Legend has it there’s a chair in Florida cemetery where the devil himself comes for a midnight beer. Intrigued? 🍻👀 In the quiet Lake Helen Cemetery in Volusia County there’s a brick chair with a chilling reputation. Locals call it the “Devil’s Chair”, and legend has it that if you sit in it at midnight, you can have a chat with the devil himself. 😈🪑 Oh, and leave a beer on the chair? 🍺 It’ll be empty by morning, supposedly consumed by the Prince of Darkness. While that sounds like the perfect plot for a horror movie, the real story is far less sinister (but still entertaining). 🎬 Teenagers used to sneak in, steal the beers left behind, and return the empty cans, leaving visitors convinced the devil had stopped by for a cold one 🍻. The cemetery’s proximity to Cassadaga, a hot spot for spiritualists, only added to the intrigue, fueling years of eerie stories and ghostly sightings 👻🔮 But this quirky tale also comes with a more serious side. The “Devil’s Chair,” like many cemetery legends, has attracted vandals over the years, leading to damaged graves and missing markers. What started as a simple mourning chair, meant for loved ones to sit and remember the lost, has become an object of fascination—sometimes at the expense of the cemetery’s property. 😠 Cemeteries are full of history, stories, and the memories of real people 🕊️. As fun as these legends can be, it’s a reminder to respect these spaces and the lives they honor. So, if you ever find yourself in Lake Helen, maybe skip sitting in the chair—unless you’re just really curious about where your beer might go 😉🍻 Read more and find pictures here: https://lnkd.in/dgx4BsGu #DevilsChair #CemeteryStories

Don’t sit in the ‘Devil’s Chair’ at this Florida cemetery. You could lose your mind — or your beer

  • 🌧️💔 In a heartbreaking turn of events, around 200 tombstones at the Wheeling Mt. Zion Cemetery in West Virginia were washed away by mud and rain during recent powerful storms. The cemetery, which is home to thousands of graves, including 400+ veterans, has been deeply affected. Volunteers and community members are rallying together to assess the damage and help with restoration efforts. ⚠️ Although the physical destruction is extensive, it's reassuring to know that the caskets remain intact. Now, the focus is on recovering and restoring the damaged tombstones to ensure families can locate their loved ones' resting places amidst the aftermath. 📂 This situation highlights the importance of maintaining accurate, secure cemetery records. Digital records can serve as a vital backup in such events. At All Funeral Services (AFS), we specialize in digitizing cemetery records, safeguarding them from physical harm, and making them accessible in emergencies. Transitioning to digital record-keeping helps cemeteries protect their valuable historical data and provides peace of mind for families and staff alike. 🌐 For more information on how we can help digitize and protect your cemetery’s records, visit our website or contact us directly. In times of crisis, having a reliable digital backup can make all the difference. #CemeteryRestoration #Digitization #CemeteryManagement

  • 🌟 New project alert! 🌟 We're bringing a new chapter to the Town of Somers Cemetery in Connecticut! 🏞️⚱️ Often, we encounter cemeteries managing their operations with traditional methods like Excel sheets 📊 and index cards 🗂️. While these methods have served their purpose, they can be inefficient and make finding information a challenge. 🔍 For the Town of Somers Cemetery, we’re modernizing their active cemetery operations to replace these outdated systems with a digital approach 💻. This will simplify managing cemetery space sales and make tracking vital information much easier 🛠️. By integrating modern tools, we aim to support their dedicated work in managing the cemetery 🙌. Stay tuned as we work on this important project and continue to enhance the way the Town of Somers Cemetery serves its community! 🤝🏽 We’re excited about the improvements and look forward to sharing more updates soon 🚀. #AFS_ClientSpotlight

  • We’re excited to share some great news about our work with the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) 🇺🇸. We’ve introduced new kiosks at each of the state’s veterans cemeteries 🏞️. Think of these kiosks as interactive touchscreens that help visitors find information easily while they’re at the cemetery 💻. They allow people to search for veteran records on-site without having to navigate through different websites 🌐. This means finding the right information is quick and simple ⏱️. Each kiosk is set up with an on-screen keyboard, making it easy for anyone to use 🖱️. Plus, they’re customized to reflect the unique character of each cemetery, ensuring a user-friendly experience 🏅. These kiosks are just one part of our larger project aimed at digitizing and modernizing cemetery management 📊. We’ve been mapping over 180,000 sections of veteran burials, restoring the numbering of all sectors in every cemetery using a combination of satellite imagery 🛰️ and our extensive database 📂. It’s a complex task, but we’re committed to maintaining accuracy and enhancing the overall experience 🛠️. By integrating advanced technology, we’re working to make cemetery services more accessible and efficient for everyone involved 🔧⚙️. #AFS_ClientSpotlight
