🏅 Our spirited staff and residents alike from Alliance Health at Marie Esther were ready to go for the gold, at our recent Rest Home Olympics! This fantastic event was planned and co-hosted by our amazing Inpatient Rehab, Activities, Human Resources, and Alliance Physical Therapy & Wellness Teams- amongst many others! It was a true group effort with a ton of creativity, preparation, and celebrating, and our residents couldn't get enough. Our competition featured Shot Putt, Golf, Balloon Darts and even Trivia, allowing something for everybody to take part in! Yesterday was more than just a regular Monday at Alliance Health at Marina Bay and Alliance Health at Maples — it was a day where history came alive for our Veteran residents! Thanks to the incredible team at Dream Flights, these heroes took to the skies once again, soaring in a World War II plane that reminded them of their own bravery and sacrifice. This week at Alliance Health at Marie Esther, we were honored to invite a Sister from each of the five Orders represented in our community, to place an engraved stone with their Order's name in our nearly completed garden! Our Residents inspired this project from the very beginning, after they created their own natural walking path surrounding the building after years of walks together. Our Community has patiently awaited this new garden and patio, and thanks to the fantastic efforts of MAJESTIC CONSTRUCTION, INC., it is coming to life quickly and beautifully. 🙏 🚧 A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts goes out to CUMMINGS FOUNDATION, for their generous grant that made this garden possible! Stay tuned for a formal announcement, and celebration, when the project is officially completed (very soon!). 🌿 Although it's rare to get all five of our Orders to agree 100% on something, we were unanimous in not forgetting Luca, our beloved #GoldenDoodle and the pet of our Administrator Steve Copper! 🐾 We had a paw print stone for him as well, symbolizing the cherished bond our religious Sisters share with our lay community members. 💖 This fun project has beautifully united our community, strengthening the bond between our Sisters and lay members in a truly special way!
