September is recognized as Suicide Prevention Month, a period dedicated to raising awareness about this critical issue. Throughout this month, efforts are made to alter public perceptions, instill hope, and disseminate essential information to those impacted by suicide. The objective is to guarantee that individuals, friends, and families have access to necessary resources for discussing suicide prevention and seeking assistance. Suicidal thoughts can affect anyone, irrespective of age, gender, or background, just like mental health conditions. While common, suicidal thoughts are not normal and typically signify deeper concerns. Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network American Foundation for Suicide Prevention NAMI
