🏆 And the award goes to… City of Natchitoches Safety Action Plan! 🏆 We are beyond excited to share the Award for Excellence for a Planning Process from APA LA for the Natchitoches Safety Action Plan in partnership with Volkert. This recognition is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and creativity of everyone involved. Ellen Soll, AICP and Colin Ash have tackled challenges, innovated, and delivered results—and this award is proof of that effort! The City of Natchitoches Safety Action Plan aims to eliminate all traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2035 through a data-driven, community-based approach. Adopted in January 2024, the Plan aligns community goals with actionable projects, guided by a diverse steering committee. Robust community engagement and equity analyses ensured inclusive participation. A geospatial safety analysis informed targeted safety measures. Supported by an SS4A Planning Grant, the Plan sets a benchmark for innovative and inclusive planning processes. #ATG|DCCM

The Professional Engineering (PE) exam is notoriously difficult, with test takers studying intensely for months before sitting for the exam. Seven of our junior staff members balanced full-time jobs with their study schedule, and recently took the test. We are happy to report that each of these seven passed, which is one more milestone on their way to becoming professional licensed engineers. Way to go, Evelyn Reyes, Chloe Guy, Emily Tyndall, EIT, Jack Christen, Benjamin Slabbekoorn, Sebastian Sampayo, EIT, Joseph Banda! #ATG|DCCM #DCCM

🚍 Congratulations to recipients of the latest FY 2023 Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning Projects funding announced by the Federal Transit Administration. After helping Metro McAllen update their Transit Development Plan (TDP), ATG | DCCM supported the City of McAllen’s development of an application for this competitive program. The grant will allow the City to connect their transit goals with their housing needs and plan for TOD around two stations connected by a proposed bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor. Connecting people to housing and opportunity fulfills ATG | DCCM’s promise of #MakingLivesBetter #ATG|DCCM https://lnkd.in/gRqG7Zgk
