Mississippi nonprofits, make your voice heard! Thanks to funding from the Fidelity Charitable® Catalyst Fund, the Alliance is working with the Urban Institute to inform the development of a publicly available data tool with nonprofit insights that will be relevant to you and your community. If your organization receives the National Survey of Nonprofit Trends and Impacts 2024, we strongly encourage you to participate. Your input is vital in sharing the real-world experiences of nonprofits across the state, particularly in areas like programs, workforce, finances, and government engagement. The nonprofit sector in Mississippi plays a critical role in our communities, and the more nonprofit leaders who contribute to this survey, the stronger our collective voice will be. By sharing your insights, you help ensure that funders, policymakers, the media, and the public understand the challenges and successes of nonprofits in our state. You can help by spreading the word about the survey to nonprofit leaders so they know to take it if they receive it and telling your nonprofit’s story by completing the survey if you receive it. Want to learn more? Check out the survey publications that tell the nonprofit sector’s story, including three just-released papers on nonprofit engagement with government. You can also sign up to receive future publications, including findings from this year’s survey. https://lnkd.in/g3XBMxab Let’s come together to tell Mississippi's story. Your participation makes a difference! #nonprofitstories #Mississippi #survey #tellyourstory #nonprofit #Philanthropy #alliancems

What a GREAT quarterly member meeting we had today! Our special guests gave a wonderful presentation and held a panel discussion on the vital role of nonprofit and philanthropy partnerships in disaster response and recovery, such a near and dear topic given all the disaster events that have occurred in the southeast region recently. Thanks to all who participated in-person and online, and a special thanks to the Mississippi Library Commission Commission for use of your meeting space and staff for all their support before, during and after the meeting!
