Earlier this season, over 80 employees across Iowa and Wisconsin participated in our annual Apprentice for a Day event. It was created to give employees an “insider’s view” of technical training and apprenticeships while also getting some hands-on experience! Attendees tried their skills at climbing, a bucket ride, remote digger, mini excavator and gas fusion. This was a team effort, and we appreciate the Technical Training teams providing our employees with this experience! 👷 💪

The first of many CO2 Batteries in the U.S. Exciting news! We've just signed our first U.S. supply contract with Alliant Energy to bring our cutting-edge #CO2Battery technology to Wisconsin (Columbia Energy Storage Project), marking a critical leap forward in long-duration energy storage. What makes this even more exciting for me personally is that we've already kicked off the project, wasting no time. That's because our hardworking project managers and engineers already held the kickoff meeting with the equally dedicated Alliant Energy team, and I can feel the momentum building. This is just the beginning. As Raja Sundararajan, EVP of Alliant Energy, put it, "We see this as the first of many CO2 Batteries to be built in partnership between Energy Dome and Alliant." That vision of scale is what inspires me the most— Energy Dome's technology has the potential to shape the future of energy storage not just for Alliant but for the entire U.S. energy sector... and beyond. Let's also not forget that this collaboration is backed by a cooperative agreement of up to $30 million from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)), further reinforcing recognition and trust in our technology. Check out the full Press Release here: https://shorturl.at/bL2XA I'm incredibly proud of the progress we've made so far, and this partnership for the Columbia Energy Storage Project isn't just about innovation—it's about creating real impact. For this project, our CO2 Battery will power approximately 18,000 Wisconsin homes for 10 hours on a single charge, helping to ensure grid stability and accelerate the transition to clean, renewable energy. I look forward to sharing more updates as we continue this journey. And stay tuned— other big things are coming soon from all around the world. #EnergyStorage #CO2Battery #CleanEnergy #Innovation #Renewables #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #USMarket #LongDurationEnergyStorage

Time and again Vel Phillips made history in Wisconsin. She was the first Black member of the Milwaukee Common Council, Wisconsin’s first Black woman judge and Wisconsin’s first Black woman secretary of state. Her work focused largely on civil rights and fair housing and her positive impact was felt in the communities Alliant Energy serves. That’s why the Alliant Energy Foundation is proud to have supported the creation of a sculpture – the first of a black woman on capitol grounds in the nation - honoring Vel Phillips on the Capital square in Madison.

At Alliant Energy, we serve customers and build stronger communities. That’s why in addition to providing safe, reliable energy, we raise and donate money to support food banks throughout Iowa and Wisconsin. One way we raise funds to feed our neighbors in need is through our annual event, Drive Out Hunger. This year, we’ll give a total of $520,000 to fight hunger. That means we’ll be able to fund more than five million meals from this year’s event, bringing our overall total to about 25 million meals provided. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/eCzzPxqA.
