I had an amazing experience attending the ALPFA Philadelphia Chapter Student Summit on October 5th, hosted in collaboration with the ALPFA Villanova Chapter. A standout moment was participating in the “Defining Your Purpose” workshop with Debora Hernandez Ramos and Aby Rodriguez from Deloitte. Their session offered insights into recognizing both strengths and areas for growth, not just in our careers but in daily life as well. They took the time to answer all of my questions and thoughtfully reviewed my “Purpose Statement.” Their honest feedback has inspired me to dive deeper into my personal and professional journey. I also had the chance to attend a workshop by Aon, led by Chris Saksa, MSC, Mike Boss, and Michelle Mayo. We explored the importance of feedback—how to give, receive, and apply it to foster growth. The session was highly interactive, with a focus on building a feedback-rich culture. A key takeaway for me: "Who is someone you always trust for feedback, whether good or bad?" This really emphasized the power of constructive criticism and how it can accelerate personal and professional development.

Congratulations Miguel N. !
*Drumroll* The winner of our website scavenger hunt is Miguel N.! 🎉 The hidden phrase within our website was Kinetic Energy. There were a few of you who came close, and two others who got it right, but Miguel Nunez was the first to find and submit the phrase. We’re excited that Miguel is no stranger to ALPFA—he’s been part of the ALPFAmilia since 2023 and serves on the Corporate Partnership Committee at ALPFA Philadelphia Chapter! Congratulations, Miguel! We can't wait for you to join Damian and Jennylee for dinner, hear all about your work, and foster some mentorship and guidance from ALPFA's leaders. #ALPFA #ScavengerHuntWinner #ALPFAmilia #LeadershipInAction

Senior at Hunter College Media Studies & Business Major, Minor Sociology | ALPFA Student | Program Coordinator and Data Intake Officer, Children Art and Science Workshop’s
On Saturday, October 5th, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the ALPFA Philadelphia Chapter Chapter Student Summit, partnered with the ALPFA Villanova Chapter. A huge thank you and congratulations to Miguel N. for leading his first event at ALPFA Philly, and to the entire ALPFA Villanova team for organizing such a warm and welcoming experience! I also appreciate the opportunity to enter the raffle to win a free LinkGenie online card! I was fortunate to attend the summit with Jacqueline Cruz, Alejandro Cotrina, George G., and Frank Mora. We had a blast connecting with students from other universities, and we made some great memories together! One quote that truly resonated with me through the Q&A panel hosted by Eduardo Calderon came from Monique Muldoon, MBA, Vice President and Account Executive (Health Solutions-Human Capital) at Aon ⭐️“You’re carrying your own personal brand.” This powerful reminder stayed with me throughout the event as I connected with professionals, gained valuable insights, and expanded my network. One of the highlights of the summit was meeting Debora Hernandez Ramos and Aby Rodriguez from Deloitte. Their “Defining Your Purpose” workshop was truly eye-opening, providing invaluable insights into understanding our strengths and weaknesses—not just in our professional lives, but in our everyday experiences. They patiently answered all of my questions (and there were quite a few!) and took the time to review my “Purpose Statement.” Their honest feedback helped me gain clarity on my strengths and weaknesses, encouraging me to dig deeper into what my true purpose is for my career. I left feeling inspired and more inspired to pursue my goals! I also attended Aon workshop led by Chris Saksa, MSC, Mike Boss, and Michelle Mayo. We had a great discussion about feedback, covering what makes it valuable, the challenges it brings, and how to apply it for personal and professional growth. The session was interactive, allowing us to share our experiences while giving and receiving feedback. Chris, Mike, and Michelle highlighted the importance of a feedback-rich environment where constructive criticism is welcomed. ⭐️“Who is one person you trust and go to for feedback no matter good or bad?” Was the question of the hour. Their insights gave me hands-on strategies to hug feedback instead and use it effectively in my development. Thank you, I want to extend my gratitude once again to everyone who made this summit an unforgettable learning experience, I hope to see you all soon!
