We are proud to announce that we achieved 98% up-time, operating 24/7 during the duration of the Technology Readiness Experimentation T-REX 24-2 exercise. This prestigious event was sponsored by the United States Department of Defense (DOD), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), and Indiana National Guard. We provided an ST-Flex aerostat and demonstrated autonomous features and benefits such as launch, recovery, and active flight controls while showcasing a multifunctional payload including IMSAR’s NSP-7 Aerostat Radar, Silvus Technologies’ Streamcaster SC4400E 4×4 MIMO radio, and Trillium Engineering’s HD80 EO/IR sensor. Altaeros Autonomous Aerostats Deliver The Highest Mission Availability In The Skies
About us
Altaeros spun out of MIT in 2010 on a mission to make the world’s first autonomous aerostat. We released our first autonomous aerostat in 2019 and have now deployed aerostats in the US and around the world with various partners. Our Autonomous Aerostats are powered by Aerostat Autopilot™, the first autonomous control system for tethered aerostats. Learn more: www.altaeros.com

Altaeros is excited to announce that Peter Mitton, formerly our Director of Customer Solutions, has just been promoted to Vice President of Operations! Pete has been with us for almost ten years, and in that time, has worn many hats. He is an integral member of our Business Development team, and IT Department as well as overseeing and organizing our departmental operations. When he isn’t working, Pete can be found camping, traveling, or wandering museums with his family. “I have never had as many responsibilities and opportunities to learn as I’ve had with Altaeros. I came into this company as an engineer, mainly a software engineer, but Altaeros has allowed me to branch way beyond that, and give me opportunities to join business and project management teams. I’ve been a lot of places and I’ve met a lot of interesting people, and I’ve had a lot of opportunities to grow at Altaeros.” Congratulations on the well earned promotion Pete! We are very lucky to have you!

The Altaeros Team was proud to participate in T-REX 24-2 last month and demonstrate the ST-Flex. We are grateful to IQT (In-Q-Tel) for enabling us to continue innovating autonomous aerostats that support critical national security and defense missions! #T_REX24TWO #RDER #OUSDRE
An impressive performance from IQT portfolio company Altaeros at the recent Technology Experimentation (T-REX) event in Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The event, hosted by the United States Department of Defense and the Indiana National Guard, features technical demonstrations of promising prototypes in support of DoD's Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER). The Altaeros team fielded its rapid response autonomous aerial platform, ST-Flex, which is designed to quickly deploy ISR capabilities and provide network capabilities at the edge. The technology will allow #firstresponders, #warfighters, and other remote users the situational awareness and connectivity they need to execute their critical missions. It’s exciting to see Altaeros making impactful contributions to help the critical missions of the U.S. national security community. Congratulations to the full team for its successful demonstrations – we can't wait to see what comes next. https://lnkd.in/er38mx2m
