“With summer on the horizon, most of us are consulting our calendars to plan the perfect last-minute summer getaway. While many people save this time of year for big bucket list trips and popular destinations, stifling crowds can certainly put a damper on that much-anticipated vacation. Instead, look to locales that are a bit off the beaten path and won’t draw in nearly as many visitors this season” writes Amanda Mactas in an article for Time Out Market. Instead of a more crowded, popular summer vacation destination, Mactas recommends traveling to a unique small town. What makes a trip to a small town worthwhile? “Equally as charming and transportive yet a bit more unassuming, the best small towns in the USA bring the same appeal as any major city, with the added bonus of room to maneuver and not a line in sight” Mactas shares. For travelers seeking a summer getaway that combines adventure with relaxation, visit Alyeska Resort. Mactas writes, “Forget traveling to the Swiss Alps and instead explore the small mountain town of Girdwood, open year-round for adventure. Here, you can partake in your favorite winter activities like skiing, snowmobiling, and glacier exploring and enjoy the best of aprés. Just hit up the Alyeska Nordic Spa, designed to help you sink into your wellness goals with hydrotherapy, saunas, and halotherapy.” Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gZyTeEKK #alyeskaresort #girdwood #alyeskanordicspa #hydrotherapy #smalltowntravel #travel2024 #reyacommunications #reyapr #travelpr

Writer Erin Celletti featured Alyeska Resort as a scenic, idyllic proposal location, “guaranteed to sweep your partner off their feet" in The Knot Worldwide. Why propose in Alaska? Celletti shares, “Whether you live in Alaska or are just visiting, its natural beauty is undeniable. Home to breathtaking landscapes and awe-inspiring wilderness, the Last Frontier is a gorgeous location for pretty much any occasion, especially proposals.” Alyeska Resort stands out as a romantic destination ideal for a proposal. Katelynn Rowe, director of events at Jacin Fitzgerald Events and Alaska resident explains why, saying, "In the summer months, enjoy amazing views, hikes and wildlife, or in the winter months, enjoy skiing or a hotel wake-up call for the Northern lights." Rowe suggests spending the day at Alaska's first Nordic Spa and taking a ride on the scenic aerial tram up to Seven Glaciers Restaurant. For a unique tip, Rowe adds, "Don't forget to grab a pint of Wild Scoops Handcrafted Alaskan Ice Cream (a local favorite) from the gift shop before you head to your room for the night!" 🌟 Celebrating Strength, Industry and Community This Women's Day 🌟 In the spirit of exploration and empowerment that defines us, we're honoured to share a beacon of inspiration this International Women's Day. Two trailblazing General Managers from our work family our own Kara Edwards and Elizabeth Hovey-Smith had an enriching conversation on the Hotelier magazine's podcast "Check-In" hosted by Rosanna Caira, marking a journey of resilience, growth, and genuine passion for hospitality. This dialogue is more than just an exchange of ideas between three accomplished women. It's a testament to the power of honest storytelling and the strength found in our collective experiences. As they navigate the peaks and valleys of their careers, our leaders embody the adventurous spirit and heartfelt commitment we admire. This Women's Day, let their stories remind us of the uncharted paths waiting to be explored and the community ready to support us every step of the way. Their trajectories in hospitality, fueled by authenticity and a deep-seated drive to excel, mirror the journey we all embark on in search of our highest peaks. 🎧 Listen to their captivating conversation. Let's celebrate the remarkable women who lead, inspire, and make a difference in every trail they blaze. https://lnkd.in/gvT4DEHW #Empowerment #WomensDay #AuthenticJourneys #Leadership #ExploreMore
