About us

AM Green is indirectly wholly owned and controlled by the founders of Hyderabad-based Greenko Group - Anil Chalamalasetty and Mahesh Kolli. With their strength in renewable energy and storage as a service model and track record of energy entrepreneurship, AM Green aims to become one of the most cost-competitive producers of green hydrogen, green ammonia, and other green molecules in the world. In India, AM Green is developing production capabilities for green molecules (green hydrogen, green ammonia, biofuels, green caustic soda, e-methanol) for decarbonization in hard to abate industries. The venture will also set up an international renewables and storage business and a JV for making electrolysers with John Cockerill of Belgium.

    The AM Green delegation, led by Anil Kumar Chalamalasetty, Founder & Group Chairman, participated in a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos titled "Pathway to India's Green Industrialisation: From Green Hydrogen to Green Manufacturing." The session brought together a distinguished group of leaders, including Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu ,Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General of CII, Rajiv Memani, President Designate and Chairman & CEO of EY, and Hans-Olav Raen, CEO of Yara Clean Ammonia.  The panel delved into India’s strategy for sustainable industrial growth, highlighting the pivotal role of #GreenHydrogen and manufacturing in the country’s #EnergyTransition. #AMGreenAtDavos

  • AM Green inks Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh! Founder and Group Chairman of AM Green Anil Chalamalasetty and Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh Manoj Kumar Singh IAS, signed the agreement on the sidelines of World Economic Forum 2025 held in Davos. As part of the MoU, AM Green will develop a #SustainableAviationFuel Project in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh with an investment of INR 3000 crores. The collaboration aims to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s and India’s role in green industrialisation, fostering sustainable development and a more energy-efficient future. This MoU marks an important step in driving India’s contribution to global Decarbonization goals. #AMGreenAtDavos

    AM Green and DP World join hands to establish India as a global hub for Green Molecules! In a major step toward global decarbonization, AM Green has partnered with DP World to build a sustainable supply chain for green fuels and chemicals. This partnership will enable the export of 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia and 1 MTPA of green methanol to key markets, supporting AM Green and DP World's joint vision of creating a zero-carbon supply chain. The partnership will focus on developing port infrastructure within AM Green’s Net-Zero Industrial Clusters and establishing bunkering infrastructure in Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia. Additionally, it will create strategic terminal infrastructure in the European Union, Far East, and UAE. With a goal of exporting 2 MTPA of green fuels, this initiative positions India as a global leader in decarbonization. Commenting on the partnership, Mahesh Kolli, Group President of AM Green, said that AM Green is committed to supporting India’s ambition to emerge as a green energy exporter. At Gentari, we are proud to announce our commitment to supplying 650 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) carbon-free energy to power AMG Ammonia's new green ammonia facilities in India under a Power Purchase Agreement.     BASF SE and AM Green Group entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly evaluate opportunities in low-carbon chemicals produced exclusively with renewable energy in India and for the offtake of 100,000 tons of green ammonia annually. Dr. Markus Kamieth, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, and Kolli Mahesh , Group President of AM Green, signed the agreement during the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024 hosted last week in New Delhi, India. Under the MoU, BASF and AM Green intend to conduct feasibility studies on low-carbon chemicals production in India including a joint evaluation of potential technologies. The cooperation also includes a non-binding letter of intent for the offtake of 100,000 tons annually of ammonia produced exclusively with renewable energy including energy from pumped storage projects from AM Green’s plants in different locations in India.     AM Green to Propel Global Fuels Decarbonization! To Invest $1BN for production of SAF, and to establish Global Bio Refineries! In a major step toward driving global fuels decarbonization, AM Green has acquired Chempolis Oy and Fortum 3 B.V. entities. This strategic partnership bolsters AM Green's vision of transforming Chempolis’ cutting-edge technology into a global bio-refinery platform through a licensing model, and production of SAF, further establishing AM Green’s leadership as a sustainable energy transition solutions platform. Anil Chalamalasetty, Group Chairman of AM Green, stated that this collaboration highlights the company’s dedication to advancing technology-enabled solutions through constant innovation. By establishing large-scale bio-refineries designed to process multiple 2G waste feedstocks, that will produce high-value downstream chemicals and fuels, including SAF, AM Green aims to enable decarbonization across various industries, including aviation, fuels, and chemicals. AM Green plans to invest $1 billion over the next three years to produce over 0.5+ MTPA of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). AM Green and RWE Supply & Trading have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to supply up to 250,000 tonnes of RFNBO-compliant green ammonia annually from AM Green’s facilities in Kakinada, and Tuticorin, India, starting in 2027.
