It's a great day for the PD community! We are so proud of our partners! Congrats on all your efforts, Amneal Pharmaceuticals!
I'm beyond excited to share that the FDA has approved IPX203, now known as CREXONT (carbidopa and levodopa) extended-release capsules, for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease! This is a huge step forward in helping people living with PD. Over the last 6 years, I have come to know and love this community SO much - they are filled with hope, kindness, and support for one another. I am thrilled that our new treatment option can contribute to a brighter future for this incredible community. This wouldn't have been possible without the amazing dedication and hard work of our investigators, KOLs, patients who participated in the clinical trials, our advocacy partners, and the entire team at Amneal Pharmaceuticals! #ParkinsonsDisease #IPX203 #AmnealPharmaceuticals https://lnkd.in/eFkhznGr

This weekend was extraordinary for Association of Movement Disorder Advanced Practice Providers as we completed a major milestone in the development of the certification for APPs in movement disorders. We have been working diligently since January 2023 and are on track to launch the certification in January 2025. With the dedication of over 50 APP and MDS volunteers, the dream of showcasing and demonstrating the expertise of APPs in the management of movement disorders is becoming a reality. As the burden and crisis of access to specialized care intensify each year, we hope this certification will create new opportunities for identifying and providing quality care. A huge thank you to Professional Testing Corporation (PTC) for your guidance and support on this important initiative. Thank you to all of the many volunteers and to Sherrie Gould Maria Cristina Ospina MD, MBA Amanda Hare, DNP Jill Giordano Farmer & Maria Schmidt, NP for the time commitment this weekend. 💫 #MovementDisorders #APPs #Certification #AMDAPP
