Last week, I participated in the Amela x Google Women's Day celebration for female founders. The atmosphere was amazing! I once again was part of the # I am remarkable workshop (it never hurts to remind yourself of your achievements) and made many great connections. Thanks, Anais Cisneros and the Amela team, for organizing it. Great job! 💜

Last Friday, I had the privilege of celebrating International Women’s Day with the Amela community, Google, and my colleagues from STUDIO LEGAL Rechtsanwälte. 💜 During the event, we focused on empowering women and advocating for ourselves, with valuable insights from Diana Nanova's and Swetha S.'s "Remarkable Me" workshop. One interesting takeaway was how all the women participants, when asked to share what makes them "remarkable," focused on their most impressive academic achievements. In contrast, men who had previously taken the workshop shared their everyday successes. This highlighted the difference in how women often downplay their accomplishments, while men tend to embrace even the smallest victories. In numbers: women are 33% less likely than men to self-promote. 📊 That’s why I’m incredibly grateful to work at STUDIO LEGAL Rechtsanwälte, where women are actively encouraged to promote themselves and confidently claim their achievements. This is a crucial step in building the self-advocacy muscle we discussed at the workshop. It’s empowering to be part of a team where self-promotion is seen as necessary for growth, not bragging. I’m proud to be part of a diverse team where women hold leadership positions, and there is no glass ceiling in sight. 🙏👩⚖️ Let’s continue to lift each other up, celebrate our successes, and create space for more women in leadership. Together, we can break down barriers and build a more inclusive future. 💪 Anais Cisneros Yamila Eraso Peña Dr Tatjana Devaux Paola Leiva #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInLeadership #Empowerment #Diversity #SelfAdvocacy #NoGlassCeiling #RemarkableMe #WomenSupportingWomen

Alexa, play “Run the World (Girls)” by Beyoncé. What an incredible experience I had at Google Berlin’s Women Leading Tomorrow event in honor of International Women’s Day! It was amazing to meet so many brilliant, ambitious, and inspiring women who are making waves in their fields. Conversations like these remind me how powerful it is to learn from and uplift each other. 2 key takeaways that stood out to me: 💡It’s not bragging if it’s based on facts: We need to own our achievements and speak about them, even when it feels uncomfortable. A great reminder that we all have something important to bring to the table. 💡Empowerment matters: Lifting each other up, celebrating wins, and showing what’s possible is how we drive real change. I had such a blast! Happy International Women’s Day, today and every day, to all the remarkable women out there! 🙌 Let’s keep breaking barriers and changing the game. A huge thank you to Amela for organizing such a cool event! #IWD #Empowerment #IAmRemarkable

✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘆, "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲." 👀 This week, I saw a self-made woman billionaire—falguni nayar, founder of Nykaa and India’s richest self-made woman billionaire. I didn’t go to India for business. I was there for something completely different—to attend my partner’s friend’s wedding 💃🏽🎉 (Because on top of being a high-performance CEO, I also have to be a partner too. Balance, right? 😆) But fate had other plans. ✨ Turns out, Nikita Thakrar and the Included VC crew were in town for an Indian ecosystem visit (more on that soon). And just like that, during my birthday week 🎂, I found myself sitting across from Falguni Nayar—an experience that wasn’t just inspiring. It was transformational. A few things that blew me away about Falguni’s journey and Nykaa’s success: 💄 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘌-𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘖𝘮𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦l → Nykaa started online and now has 100+ physical stores across India. 📦 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺-𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭 → Unlike most marketplaces, Nykaa buys products directly from brands, ensuring authenticity and strong margins. 🌟 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘙𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 → With 2,000+ brands and 200,000+ products, it dominates India’s beauty & fashion space. 📈 𝘐𝘗𝘖 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘩 → In 2021, Nykaa’s IPO was oversubscribed 82.5 times, reaching a $13B valuation. 💰 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩 → While many startups struggle, Nykaa posted a 61% profit surge last quarter. Falguni didn’t just build a company. She built an ecosystem—reshaping India’s beauty industry and proving what’s possible when bold vision meets execution. And I’ll admit it: before this trip, I hadn’t thought much about Indian tech. But sitting across from 𝗵𝗲𝗿, hearing 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, I realized how narrow my view had been. I grew up associating billionaires with names like Musk or Bezos. But Falguni? She represents something different. Something closer. They say 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀—and this week, I felt that. I walked away thinking: 🔥 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘨𝘶𝘯𝘪’𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯? 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮? So to anyone reading this: 𝙉𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪. They exist. And sometimes, they’re closer than you think. 💜 This experience has only fueled my drive to ensure more women build 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 companies and receive the 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 through Amela—the sisterhood of entrepreneurship. In the meantime, I leave you with a question: 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺? 𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 👇
