American is making international connections smoother with the new One Stop Security program. Now, customers connecting to international destinations through London Heathrow from Dallas-Fort Worth don’t need to go through security again, which means more time to relax and enjoy the journey. ✈️🌍

We’re very pleased to share that Clemens Metz has been promoted to Vice President and Treasurer. Since joining the #AATeam in 2020, Clemens has played a key role in strengthening our financial position, including efforts to reduce debt and enhance the balance sheet. In his expanded role, he will lead American’s corporate finance, banking, asset management and insurance work. Congrats, Clemens!

The American Airlines Cadet Academy is welcoming ATP Flight School in Charlotte, North Carolina, to its growing network of flight school partners. This partnership enhances access to high-quality training, state-of-the-art simulators and mentorship from American Airlines pilots — providing aspiring aviators with a clear path to the flight deck. For First Officer Nicholas (Nic) Ramirez, flying was always more than a dream — it was a family legacy. Inspired by his father, Capt. Esty Ramirez, a former Air Force pilot, Nic’s passion for aviation took flight early. Esty became one of Nic’s flight instructors, guiding him from student to First Officer at American Airlines, where they now fly together — father as Captain and Crew Chief, son as First Officer. This year marks a milestone: Esty celebrates 25 years with American, while Nic begins his first. With countless journeys ahead, their shared dream continues to soar.

We’re celebrating 40 years of supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through our annual Celebrity Ski event! Throughout the years, the event has transformed into a special tradition, offering team members the chance to give back and live out our purpose of taking care of people on life’s journey. Team members like First Officer Nathan Green and Flight Attendant Julie Molano volunteer their time year after year to support the cause. Over the years, American has raised more than $47 million to help fight CF. Here’s to continuing the tradition and making a lasting impact! 💙

Congratulations to Caroline Clayton, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer. Caroline leads the teams responsible for telling American’s story both internally and externally, including our global marketing strategy. A big congrats to Anmol Bhargava on his promotion to Senior Vice President of Alliances.
