About us
The American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) is an international non-profit trade organization representing the manufacturers, distributors and part suppliers of the coin-operated amusement industry. AAMA was founded in 1981 by a small group of amusement coin-operated machine manufacturers concerned with the future of their industry. A Board of Directors, selected by its members, governs the AAMA. Committees work with the Association staff to develop programs to promote and protect the industry. Members donate their time, effort and expertise on a voluntary basis. For over 40 years, the AAMA has served its membership through legislative efforts, promotional arenas, foreign business development and much much more. It is our job to serve as the voice for these segments of the coin-operated interactive amusement machine industry.

Schumer said yesterday he planned a unanimous consent request this week to pass legislation regulating bump stocks, CBS News reports. The Supreme Court issued a 6-3 decision Friday that regulators exceeded their power by outlawing the rapid-fire devices after they were used in the deadliest mass shooting in the country’s history. WEEK AHEAD: MTG’s Motion to Vacate… The Senate left town last week with no agreement on how to advance the reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration ahead of next Friday’s deadline. Several lawmakers have said they will not agree to fast track the measure if their proposed amendments are not considered, raising the possibility that the chamber will take up a short-term extension, according to the No. 2 Senate Republican… Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gGejnCzg

WEEK AHEAD: Senators had planned to spend this week taking part in congressional delegations around the world or meeting with constituents back in their home states. The House’s lopsided votes on Saturday, and the desire to get the money and support to allies as soon as possible, will instead bring them back to town (if they even left after their own late Friday votes to renew a spy authority). The Senate is expected to move as soon as tomorrow to begin advancing the House-passed foreign aid package. The first votes are set for Tuesday afternoon, kicking off a 30-hour clock that could be sped up if there is no dissent, though a number of conservatives are calling for amendment votes that could slow the gears…Opening arguments in the Trump hush money case are expected to begin this morning up on the 15th floor of the Criminal Courts Building in lower Manhattan…Supreme Court will consider whether cities may enforce laws against camping on public property…Nerd Prom (White House Correspondents Dinner) Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gJh8wQNJ
