March is Women’s History Month, and all month ALF is celebrating women who make a difference in liver health. Today we are featuring Alisha Mavis, MD, pediatric hepatologist at Levine Children’s Hospital, Atrium Health. She says, “I love working with my unique patients and families and partnering with them to optimize my patient’s quality of life while living with a chronic disease and empowering them to become their best advocate. I work in liver disease because of the complexity of the diseases and the challenge of personalizing medicine for each patient so they can liver their best life possible.” Dr. Mavis is an Oklahoma Sooner Football fan and loves traveling, especially to beach vacations! Thank you, Dr. Mavis, for caring for liver patients every day! 💚💙
