Pink cocaine, despite its colorful name, isn’t actually cocaine. Instead, it's often a dangerous mix of substances like 2-CB, MDMA (ecstasy), ketamine, and caffeine. It has been linked to the recent death of Liam Payne. Why is this alarming? These drugs can vary in amount and potency, making the risk of serious side effects and long-term addiction a real concern. If you hear about pink cocaine, know that it’s far more dangerous than its name suggests. Stay informed and stay safe! **URGENT DEA PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT- FAKE PHARMACIES** DEA Issues Warning About Illegal Online Pharmacies On October 4, 2024, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration reported a rise in illegal online pharmacies distributing counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl and methamphetamine. These fake medications are being sold to unsuspecting customers in the United States, who believe they are purchasing legitimate drugs like Oxycodone, Adderall, Xanax, and others from authorized pharmacies. “Laboratory testing indicates that 7 out of every 10 pills seized by the DEA contain a lethal dose of fentanyl. In 2023, the DEA has already seized a record 79.5 million fentanyl pills, surpassing last year's total of 58 million pills.” DEA.gov/onepill Read More: https://lnkd.in/e5GN29fQ #OnePillCanKill #americansubstanceabuseprofessionals #asapworksafely #asapgetbacktowork #asapreturntoduty

DOT Publishes Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Electronic Signatures, Forms and Storage for Drug and Alcohol Testing Records October 15, 2024, the Department of Transportation (DOT) published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that could bring important changes to the workplace drug and alcohol testing for the federally regulated transportation industry. The proposal would allow, but not require: • The use of electronic signatures on required documents • Electronic versions of forms and the electronic storage of forms and data Currently, paper documents are required unless a DOT-approved electronic system is in place. The proposed changes are expected to offer greater flexibility and reduce costs while maintaining the integrity of testing processes. Comment period is open until December 16, 2024.
