Founded in 1964, AmeriCorps VISTA is an anti-poverty program that provides resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to increase their capacity to strengthen their local community. VISTA sends passionate individuals to develop sustainable solutions to address challenges in Disaster Services, Economic Opportunity, Education, Environmental Stewardship, Healthy Futures, and support Veterans and Military Families. Our members gain unique benefits while acquiring professional experience that prepares and connects them for work in private, public, and nonprofit sectors. VISTA is a program of AmeriCorps, a federal agency, that has engaged more than 1.3 billion individuals in service across the United States.
