The Governor's Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs (GOSMWBA) is hosting two great small business webinars next week: - “Anatomy of a Bid,” on November 12 at 10AM. - “Veteran Small Business Resources & Updates,” on November 14 at 10AM. The first webinar will feature Patti Tracey, Chief Procurement Officer in the office of the Comptroller of Maryland, discussing how to successfully participate as a prime contractor in the state's procurement arena. The second will feature U.S. SBA Business Opportunity Specialist / Veterans Business Development Officer Caroline Henson; Mid-Atlantic Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) Director Tina Edwards; and GOSMWBA VSBE Compliance Manager Danielle Davis discussing how Veterans can successfully participate in the state's VSBE Program, the Federal Veteran & Service Disabled Programs, and access additional resources. She enjoyed hearing Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman and stakeholders discuss affordable housing topics, from funding to housing codes, and serving as a panelist herself. Amy highlighted how AAEDC is leading innovative solutions for Anne Arundel County businesses, including redeveloping 13 acres in Glen Burnie into a vibrant, transit-oriented community that offers attainable housing and promotes economic growth.
