This site in Virginia is home to an 85MW fixed tilt solar system using APA's TITAN Duo system. Ground Screws can be installed into rock, and their screw threads also provide an excellent holding power in sandy soils with poor friction. Our Geoballast foundation was recently installed on a repurposed landfill to make way for a 13MW #solar project. Check out the video below for a sneak peak of the project as modules are being placed. The Geoballast is an innovative ballast foundation paired with our Ready Rack racking system that uses local quarry rock as fill, instead of concrete, for a cost-effective solution. It ships to your site ~70% preassembled, speeding up installation time. As you can see in the video, this landfill site consists of sloping and undulating topography.
