🎃👻Happy Halloween, Apache Junction!👻🎃 School Resource Officer Burke visited with her students at Four Peaks Elementary School this week to share some important Halloween safety tips to help keep everyone safe while trick-or-treating tonight. Before heading out, please take a moment to talk with your kids about these helpful reminders: 1️⃣ Ask a parent or adult to check your candy before eating. 2️⃣ Dress for the weather to stay warm and comfy. 3️⃣ Never go inside a stranger's home. 4️⃣ Carry a flashlight to stay visible. 5️⃣ Only visit houses with lights on. 6️⃣ Always go with an adult. 7️⃣ Never accept rides from strangers, even if they offer candy. 8️⃣ Walk, don’t run between houses. 9️⃣ Look both ways before crossing the street. 🔟 Don’t eat any candy that’s unwrapped or opened. Have a safe and spooky night, and remember—safety first, treats second! 🎃✨ #HalloweenSafety #AJPD

Today, we celebrate and thank the brave men and women who are always first on the scene when emergencies strike. Our police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers work tirelessly to keep our community safe—day and night, through every challenge, and without hesitation. They show up for us in our greatest moments of need. To all the first responders who serve with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication, we are deeply grateful. You are the backbone of our community, and your sacrifices don’t go unnoticed. Your commitment to protecting and serving makes our world a better, safer place. Let’s take a moment to recognize their incredible work today and every day! And a special shout out to Superstition Fire & Medical for all they do for us and our community💙 #NationalFirstRespondersDay #ThankYouFirstResponders #AJPD

Last night, we gathered at city council to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with an important proclamation. This month highlights the urgent issue of domestic violence that impacts many in our community and throughout the country. Raising awareness is essential for prevention and supporting survivors. Together, we can create a safe environment where individuals feel empowered to seek help. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 911. For additional resources, A New Leaf is available to provide support at https://lnkd.in/gs4Xddrt. Let’s stand together against domestic violence and advocate for those in need. 💜💜💜 #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #AJCommunity #AJPD City of Apache Junction
