Interview Preparation - One of my favorite conversations I have with both candidates and clients 👌 We've been busy at Apex Pharma Talent so getting to have these conversations is not only exciting but when you're working with a client who knows how to streamline the interview process it's a little slice of recruiter heaven. Here are a few takeaways from what candidates and I have been talking about 👇 🧬 I cannot stress enough the importance of knowing your prospective employer and interviewers. Don't just know company values and mission statements. That's basic... we want to dig deeper than basic 💪🏼 Research who is interviewing you and the company before the interview. Find commonality (don't make it up, find it) if you can't find it, find relatable subject matter that can create a meaningful connection. 🧬 Questions 👀 go for it, an interview is a 2-way street. Just make them relevant, build on that commonality/relatable subject matter ☝️ speak about the role, ask questions to identify if they have had hurdles in this role in the past, and then smash a response as to why you're right for the role cause you can overcome x, y, and z based on a, b and c 😉  🧬 I'm forgetful all the time 🤯, so I bullet point key reminders for conversational topics, types of responses to competency-based questions, and questions to ask. Remember to “do you”, but be ready with prompts be it mental or something physically in front of you. 🧬 Be honest! Be true to yourself, represent yourself, and don't try to be someone else because you think that's who they want. You'll be found out quickly, ultimately the right role will come from the employer that recognizes your value. Not a chat GPT post!
