Halloween is coming 🎃 and we are getting into the spirit by taking you behind the scenes to see Frank's arm prior to assembly! Want to watch a short clip of the engraving process? Check out the video here: https://lnkd.in/d4PKPp_s The first photo shows a part of Frank's mechanical 3D printing arm - also known as a boom - getting ready to be engraved and assembled. Even though Frank is quite nimble in maneuvering, its size can still be surprising to see IRL 🤖 🦾 The second photo is an engraved arm ready to be added onto a new Frank! Very much in the style of Frank-enstein 🛠️ #3Dprinting #constructioninnovation

🌀 After Hurricane Milton 🌀 We've received outpourings of concern and support when #HurricaneMilton made its landfall in #Florida last week. Thank you for reaching out, we so appreciate it! Happy to report that our crew is safe and the Model House is very much doing OK. A roof soffit was ripped open and there are some light debris around the house. The walls are unscratched and the house is still in very good shape. Luckily, by the time Milton made its way to the east coast, it has downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, which meant 90 mph (145 kph) windspeed. Still very high winds nonetheless! Here are some photos 📸 We hope that you are safe and healthy. Our thoughts are with everyone who was affected. #3Dprinting #3Dprinted #constructioninnovation

A quick flyover shot of our Model House progress 👀 You've seen the updated kitchen island with dragon scale patterns, a peek at the interior, and what the exterior walls now look like. This is a flyover shot of the Model House as it stands - and as it continues to be completed this year 🤖 🏗️ 🏠 The purpose of constructing this model house is to not only test the capabilities of our current technology, but to also learn what can be improved in the process. For example, we were able to test new G-codes and fine tune the seamless relocation of the 3D printing robot, Frank. Stay tuned for more updates to come on the fully printed, to-be-finished model house! #3Dprinting #constructioninnovation

You already know why 3D printing is superior to traditional construction in terms of quality, strength, speed, cost, and minimal waste. This 18-minute video segment covers additional topics and will answer your questions on the following: 🎨 What design freedom means and why this is the only time you'll hear "cut the corners" in a good way 🧠 Why Gary is the brain of the operation and why the automated self-cleaning feature is incredibly important (and handy!) 🤖 What makes Frank so mobile and easy to work with, even on a large printing scale 🧱 Why "same walls, new machines" makes sense in terms of code-compliant construction and usage of reinforcement Hope you find this session informative and insightful!
