Great news! Apogee has been awarded a follow-on prime task order to continue our partnership with NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N&NC) to support the development of specific training programs. Readiness and Training: Key to Mission Assurance At Space Operations Command (SpOC), readiness isn't just a goal—it's a mandate. As the lead for Space Force Generation (SPAFORGEN), SpOC has a critical mission: generate, present, and sustain combat-ready space forces for service and combatant command missions. In an era of Great Power Competition (GPC), optimizing Guardian readiness is crucial. Apogee is committed to supporting this mission by leveraging best practices to ensure Guardians remain prepared for any challenge. Our approach centers on three pillars: 1. Training and Readiness Leads – We have introduced positions specifically focused on coordinating and standardizing training across the various phases of SPAFORGEN. Our Training and Readiness Leads bring deep expertise in both space domain and cyber operations, certifying that training is aligned with operational requirements. By applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles, we tailor training to different skill levels, ensuring that Guardians are prepared through a blended approach of classroom instruction, simulations, and practical exercises. 2. Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) for Space Forum – We establish councils, such as the DCO for Space Forum, to facilitate the exchange of best practices, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), policy changes, and lessons learned. Our monthly meetings bring together Training and Readiness Leads and space and cyber subject matter experts to continuously share insights and update training materials. This collaborative environment ensures that the most up-to-date information is distributed across Apogee and our partners, including Peraton, Acuity Innovations LLC , and Aperio Global, LLC allowing us to maintain a high standard of readiness. 3. Integrated, Real-Time Training – To maintain readiness, we implement real-time, scenario-driven training that mirrors real-world threats. This training is integrated into Guardians’ daily workflows, ensuring they are prepared for Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) and evolving adversary tactics, even as they perform their duties. By embedding training into their operational environment, we reduce the need for excessive training outside of work hours while simultaneously reinforcing critical skills. This approach ensures that Guardians are ready to respond at a moment's notice, no matter the phase of SPAFORGEN. These three pillars are the foundation for delivering a highly trained, cyber-capable workforce to defend our mission-critical terrain.
