The Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization established in 1991, is dedicated to the preservation and development of the legendary Apollo Theater through the Apollo Experience of world-class live performances and education programs that: honor the influence and advance the contributions of African-American artists; and advance emerging creative voices across cultural and artistic media Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc.'s vision is to expand the reach of the Apollo Experience to a worldwide audience. The world famous Apollo Theater is so much more than a historic landmark - it is a source of pride and a symbol of the brilliance of American artistic accomplishment. With its rich history and continued significance, the Apollo Theater, considered the bastion of African-American culture and achievement, is one of the most fascinating chronicles in American history.

    #FBF to a dynamic day of professional learning dedicated to ELEVATING Black arts in education!! At the ELEVATE: Black Arts in Education Convening, Apollo Theater Education Program carefully crafted a day of programming that brought together educators and administrators alike for collaborative conversations and workshops around Black arts pedagogy and best practices for grades K-12 and in higher education. The day was made more powerful by the New York City and National Youth Poet Laureate of the United States, Stephanie Pacheco, keynote speaker Shirley C. Taylor, panelists from ArtsConnection, Studio Museum in Harlem, Black Education Research Center, #ApolloStories, Afaliah, and Michelle Cole. Thank you for bringing the day to life!

    JUST ANNOUNCED‼️The Apollo and National Black Theatre present The Divining: Ceremonies from in the name of the m/other tree, conceived and curated by Apollo New Works Artist Ebony Noelle Golden featuring Jupiter Performance Studio. The Divining will start as a processional in the streets of Harlem and land at The Apollo’s Stages at The Victoria. This LIMITED ENGAGEMENT is presented FREE with RSVP and open to the community to experience September 13-22, 2024. Combining movement, poetry, percussion, and visual art, The Divining is a call to reclaim our connection to the land and to each other, weaving together the rhythms of climate change, environmental justice, and the deep roots of Harlem's heritage.
